UC Health is seeking a Patient Accounting Representative to handle billing, posting payments, and patient communications. The role supports the revenue cycle by contacting patients, reviewing claims, and assisting with discount qualifications.

• Experience with revenue cycle processes and/or Epic Revenue Cycle applications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in posting payments and resolving accounts.

• Check unpaid claim status and pursue self-pay collections.
• Scan documents and request medical records as needed.
• Provide customer service to patients and care team.

The Patient Accounting Representative bills claims electronically, check for unpaid claim status, post cash, pursue self pay cash collections, scan documents, request medical records and/or provide customer service.

Responsibilities

Assists the manager in all daily activities associated with the collection function. Responsible for collection of past due accounts from patients. Collection will be accomplished by conventional phone system, letters, and other correspondence to collect balances, arrange payments, settlements, and review discount qualifications.

Qualifications

Minimum Required: High School Diploma or GED. Preferred: Associate's Degree. | LICENSE & CERTIFICATION: N/A. | Minimum Required: 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in Revenue Cycle and/or Epic Revenue Cycle applications.
