Sr Mainframe Developer

Role is onsite (5 days/wk)

Location: Wilmington, DE 19807

Job Description:

1. Develops and implements solutions that address complex business challenges, enhancing data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency.
2. Prepares architecture and design documents for complex banking applications, considering design constraints for effective coding.
3. Develops secure, high-quality code that integrates seamlessly with other subsystems.
4. Think creatively and proactively challenge conventional approaches to contribute to operational improvements.
5. Troubleshoots problems, collaborates with product teams and stakeholders to understand complex requirements, and translates them into design and development tasks.

Job Requirements:

• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and DB2.
• Mandatory expertise in CICS programming, including CICS Screen Programming.
• Preferred experience with MQ Series and IMS DB.
• Experience with banking compliance and regulatory platforms is a plus.
• Hands-on coding development experience is required.
• Familiarity with version control systems and effective communication skills are essential.
