Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer for the Firmwide AI/ML Deployment Platform squad. You will join a globally distributed team spanning NJ, Glasgow, London, India, architecting and owning deployment infrastructure at scale.

Expect autonomy, direct client interaction in the US, and high-stakes architectural decisions. Responsibilities include API design for retraining and autoscaling, cross-account integration, and delivering secure, scalable control plane components.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Proficiency in architecting software solutions at scale.
• Self-directed and autonomous: you drive to outcomes.
• Strong client-facing communication skills across time zones.
• Deep knowledge of AWS and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Track record building resilient, production-grade platform.
• Experience leading enterprise‑authorized AI-assisted dev tools and setting team expectations.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and security.

Responsibilities

• Drive architectural vision for platform components: control plane integration and multi-region deployment.
• Design and implement APIs for retraining, scheduling, endpoint deployment, and autoscaling.
• Build infrastructure for seamless integration across control plane and client accounts.
• Engage directly with US-based clients — requirements, strategic solutioning, and debugging.
• Make independent architectural decisions and own technical tradeoffs with minimal oversight.
• Provide technical guidance to business and its teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Influence product design, application functionality, and operational processes.
• Promote adoption of AI-assisted development practices with measurable validation standards.
