Job summary

JPMorganChase is recruiting a Senior Lead Software Engineer within the Corporate - AIML Data Platforms group in Jersey City. The role focuses on delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, scalable way, using AI/ML tools across the SDLC.

You will guide teams, drive code quality and governance, and contribute to firmwide AI practices. We seek experienced engineers with cloud-native skills, hands-on coding, and proven ability to lead adoption of AI-assisted development

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced in one or more programming language(s).
• Demonstrated experience leading effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations and secure handling of inputs/outputs.

Responsibilities

• Regularly provides technical guidance to support the business and its technical teams.
• Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews/debugs code.
• Drives adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools to improve automation at scale.
• Drives decisions that influence product design and technical operations.
• Acts as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus.
