Job summary

Responsibilities

• Lead full cycle recruitment, onboarding, and new-hire orientation to support staffing needs.
• Coach on interviewing and ensure consistent hiring practices with managers and corporate HR.
• Provide guidance on performance management, corrective actions, policy interpretation, and employee development.
• Oversee employee relations, investigations, and compliance with state and federal employment laws.
• Administer benefits, leave programs, wellness initiatives, and maintain HRIS and records.
• Support organizational development including performance reviews, development plans, and succession planning.
• Lead labor relations activities including grievances, contract interpretation, posting jobs, and bargaining committee participation.
• Coordinate seasonal workforce processes, migrant labor planning, compliance requirements, and agency relationships.
• Build positive relationships throughout the plant and uphold company values to support engagement initiatives.

SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST

Location: Weston, OR

Job Description:

Responsible for talent strategy, employee relations, labor relations, compliance, and engagement across the facility

Lead full cycle recruitment, onboarding, and new-hire orientation to support staffing needs

Partner with managers and corporate HR to understand workforce requirements, coach on effective interviewing, and ensure consistent hiring practices

Provide guidance on performance management, corrective actions, policy interpretation, and employee development

Oversee employee relations, conduct investigations, manage documentation, and ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws

Administer benefits, leave programs, wellness initiatives, and maintain accurate HRIS and personnel records

Support organizational development efforts including performance reviews, development plans, and succession planning

Lead labor relations activities including managing grievances, interpreting labor agreements, preparing job postings, and participating as a member of the bargaining committee

Coordinate seasonal workforce processes, including migrant labor planning, compliance requirements, and agency relationships

Build positive relationships throughout the plant, uphold company cultural values, and support employee engagement initiatives

Qualifications:

• BS/BA – Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
• 5+ years human relations experience; experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
• Strong experience in labor relations including contract interpretation and grievance management required
• Strong knowledge of employment laws including EEOC, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, FLSA, etc.
• SHRM-CP, PHR Certification or previous supervisory experience preferred
• Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain strict confidentiality
