Position Overview

We seek a highly motivated Bluetooth embedded firmware engineer to design and develop connectivity firmware for our next-generation Bluetooth-enabled products. The role involves designing embedded firmware at the MAC layer for Bluetooth connectivity.

This position reports to the Director of Development Engineering.

Compensation

The typical base pay range is USD $106,000 - $166,100 annually, influenced by factors such as location, skills, experience, and education. The role includes potential bonuses, equity, and benefits. Compensation details reflect base salary only, excluding additional compensation.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded firmware for Bluetooth at the MAC and PHY/RF layers for both Classic BT and BLE.
• Write and maintain scalable, efficient, and robust code aligned with project requirements.
• Collaborate with ASIC and PHY Systems teams for seamless product development.
• Participate in code reviews and process improvements.
• Develop strong coding skills in C and Python.
• Maintain a solid understanding of Bluetooth protocols (Classic and BLE) and all BT/BLE profiles.
• Work proactively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure work accuracy with strong attention to detail.
• Communicate effectively and work well within a diverse team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in embedded firmware development, especially on ARM-based SoCs.
• Experience with Bluetooth stacks, controllers, drivers, and application frameworks.
• Proficiency with protocol debugging tools such as OTA sniffers and JTAG debuggers.
• Willingness to travel less than 10%.
