Job Summary

The Sr. ER Consultant is responsible for:

  • Mitigating risk for the organization and guiding people leaders through complex employee issues.
  • Balancing risk mitigation with enhancing the employee experience by addressing concerns and reaching fair solutions.
  • Responsibilities include investigations, corrective actions, coaching, leaves of absence, accommodations, reductions in force, EEOC responses, and policy interpretation.

Core competencies include concise and compassionate communication, active listening, conflict resolution, negotiation, and mediation skills.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Manage employee relations issues, ensuring policy adherence aligned with Molina's mission, vision, and values.
  • Prepare documentation with discoverability in mind, demonstrating excellent written communication skills.
  • Assess and resolve conflicts through mediation.
  • Track case details to identify trends and address recurring risks.
  • Promote a positive work environment and employee experience by providing fair solutions.
  • Conduct investigations into misconduct and workplace incivility with appropriate diligence.
  • Use Employee Engagement Survey results to improve employee experience.
  • Support management with employee issues, including corrective actions, coaching, leaves, and policy adherence.
  • Assist in preparing for difficult employee conversations with strategic talking points.
  • Provide strategic insights into employee relations issues and conduct trend analysis to prevent issues.
  • Deliver prompt and consistent consultative services to empower people leaders.
  • Mentor and guide Employee Relations Consultants on employee issues.
  • Lead complex employee relations projects and collaborate with HR, Legal, Compliance, and other stakeholders.
Job Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Required Experience: 5-7 years in Human Resources, counseling, social work, law, or a comparable field

Preferred Education: Master's Degree or J.D.

Pay Range: $77,969 - $155,508 annually. Actual compensation may vary based on location, experience, education, and skills.
