Profile

Purpose and Scope: Provides Labor & Employee Relations support, guidance, and advice to field management and employees in assigned regions within a FMS Division. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, and local, state, and federal employment regulations. Utilizes expertise in Labor & Employee Relations and Human Resources to investigate, address, and resolve HR issues including personnel management, policy interpretation, benefits, and change management.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrates commitment to the Company’s Mission, Core Values, and initiatives.
  2. Ensures timely and thorough case management.
  3. Advises leadership on sensitive labor relations matters, including grievance and arbitration procedures.
  4. Develops and facilitates leadership and staff training as needed.
  5. Collaborates with partners like Legal, HR, Compliance, and others.
  6. Administers Labor and Employee Relations programs in accordance with policies and regulations, including EEO, FMLA, and ADAAA.
  7. Manages Labor & Employee Relations issues, investigations, coaching, and policy interpretation.
  8. Provides guidance on employment laws and legal compliance.
  9. Investigates employee concerns and escalates critical issues appropriately.
  10. Conducts climate assessments and recommends improvements.
  11. Supports legal department with investigations and legal claims.
  12. Assists with employee separations, onboarding, and recognition programs.
  13. Tracks trends and develops training to address issues.
  14. Mentors junior staff and handles complex tasks as needed.
  15. Ensures compliance with the Code of Business Conduct and applicable laws.
  16. Participates in various projects and other duties as assigned.
  17. Physical Demands and Working Conditions: Requires travel for investigations, training, and business needs. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.

    Education: Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced Degree desirable.

    Experience and Skills: 3+ years’ Labor Relations experience in a multi-facility environment, 5-8 years’ related experience, or equivalent. SHRM Certification is desirable. Knowledge of employment laws (FMLA, ADAAA, etc.), excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle sensitive situations with discretion. Proficiency in MS Office and data reporting tools. Strong customer service orientation and desire for growth.
