Leidos Defense Systems Sector is seeking a talented Senior Configuration Management Analyst to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Leidos Defense Systems provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The Sr. Configuration Management Analyst is responsible for product design changes and the effects on the overall system. Duties include ensuring configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations for data that is created from internal projects or supplied by the customer. The Sr. Configuration Analyst will work independently to develop solutions to complex technical issues and problems that impact multiple areas or disciplines. The Sr. Configuration Analyst will provide project support in creating/reviewing contents of CDRLs, SDRLs, item records, change records, and other items in a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system. The Sr. Configuration Analyst will be responsible for executing Configuration and Data Management processes and controls; ensuring company policies and procedures are implemented in accordance with industry standards and customer requirements. The Sr. Configuration Analyst will write and maintain documents such as CM corporate policies, Configuration Management plans, Project Configuration Forms, program Access Control lists, desktop instructions, CM work instructions, and audit forms. The Sr. Configuration Analyst will oversee CM team members regarding solution design, processes, and/or approaches. The Sr. Configuration Analyst will support tasks in a dynamic environment, working closely with the CM, engineering, manufacturing, quality, other teams, and the customer and/or external contacts to support products throughout their lifecycle. The Sr. Configuration Analyst will be expected to work on site for a minimum of 4+ days a week.
Education: This position requires a 4-year degree in a relevant applicable field and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of at least fifteen (15) years applicable experience in configuration and data management of products where impact assessments, change authorization, and adhering to industry standards is a daily required activity.
Candidate must be a resident of the Colorado Springs area or willing to relocate to the Colorado Springs, CO area.
Candidate must have detailed knowledge of and the ability to apply standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques of the technical domain and develop solutions to complex technical issues and problems that impact multiple areas or disciplines.
Candidate must have detailed knowledge and experience in configuration change management principles and record types.
Candidate must have detailed knowledge of mechanical, electrical, software, and other CM practices as detailed in SAE EIA-649 (series and associated handbooks), ASME Y14 (series), ISO 9001, MIL-STD-31000, MIL-HDBK-61, DODM 5200.01 (series), DODI 5200.48, etc.
Candidate must have detailed knowledge and a minimum of five (5) years of experience using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools (Agile PLM, Oracle Agile, PTC Windchill, Dassault ENOVIA, Siemens Teamcenter, Aras, etc.).
Candidate must have detailed knowledge of bill of materials, technical documents, product drawings, schematics, diagrams, and specifications.
Candidate must have detailed knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software such as CREO, Solidworks, etc.
Candidate must have detailed knowledge of Product Data Management (PDM) systems such as Windchill, Solidworks PDM Pro, etc.
Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office products (primarily Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Visio experience is a plus).
Candidate must be proficient in Adobe PDF editing software or equivalent.
Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft SharePoint collaboration software.
Candidate must be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, customer representatives, and external contacts.
Candidate must have good organizational skills and be detail-oriented.
Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preference shown to candidates who have experience and/or working knowledge with NDIA CDM, CMII, or other Configuration Management/Data Management certification.
Pay Range: Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreements (if any), or other law.
