Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Revenue Cycle Contracting professional for a remote, full-time role focused on data analysis and coding practices within the Managed Care revenue cycle.

You will work with CPT/HCPCS/ICD/DRG codes, analyze large Excel datasets from multiple sources, and collaborate with operational leaders to drive data-informed decisions.

Qualifications

• Two years of Excel-based data analysis experience.
• Familiarity with reporting and reconciliation processes.
• Knowledge of CPT/HCPCS/ICD/DRG coding practices preferred.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Working knowledge of healthcare coding practices, including CPT, HCPCS, ICD, and DRG codes.
• Minimum of two years of experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation, including the ability to analyze large datasets from multiple sources.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to identify issues and recommend solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and partner with operational leaders to support decision-making.

Education

What minimum requirements you’ll need

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

• Knowledge of Maryland HSCRC regulations, hospital reimbursement methodologies, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• At least two years of experience in healthcare finance, financial analysis, chargemaster management, or revenue cycle operations.
