Job summary

Golden State Foods seeks an Accounts Payable professional in California (Irvine) to manage full cycle AP, ensure data accuracy, and support multiple company vendors. The role emphasizes timely invoice processing, vendor communications, and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Experience in full cycle AP including processing, verifying, and entering invoices.
• Familiar with MS Excel pivots and formulas encouraged.
• Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting functions.

Responsibilities

• Process, verify, and enter invoices for accounts payable.
• Monitor accounts, maintain logs, prepare reports for one or more companies.
• Communicate with vendors and internal customers regarding status and follow-ups.
• Perform clerical duties and general assistance as required.
• Perform other related duties as necessary.

• Experience in Full Cycle AP including but not limited to processing, verifing and entering invoices for accounts payable.Ensures accuracy, data integrity, thoroughness, and timeliness.(40%)
• Monitors accounts, maintains logs and records, and prepares reports for one or more companies. (40%)
• Communicates with both vendors and internal customers regarding account status and follow up on special requests. Knowledge with MS Queries analyzing vendor history, invoice status and payment status.(10%)
• Performs various clerical duties to provide general assistance as required.(10%)
• Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and experience equivalent to:

Education/Certification

• High school diploma or equivalent and accounting courses resulting in basic knowledge of one or more accounting functions (e.g., accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, etc.)

Experience

• At least 4 years of related work experience.
• Excel experience (pivots and formulas desired)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• One or more accounting functions (e.g., basic bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll processing, etc.) (J)
• Generally accepted accounting principles (J)
• MS Office Word / Excel software applications (J)
• Company computer systems (accounts payable, general ledger, etc.) (J)
• Use of basic office equipment and machinery (PCs, copiers, etc.) (J)
• Project/assignment management techniques and procedures (B)
• Relevant division concepts, procedures, and regulations (J)

Compensation: $25.00 - $29.00/ Hour
