Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 3-6+ years of accounting experience, public accounting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
  • CPA or CPA-eligible preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead key components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Support the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.
  • Perform detailed variance and flux analysis, providing clear insights into business performance.
  • Support the annual financial audit process and prepare related documentation.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data across reporting systems.
  • Support research and documentation of accounting issues in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Assist in drafting accounting memos for complex or non-routine transactions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
  • Assist with a variety of ad hoc projects related to financial reporting.

Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to support our financial reporting and accounting operations. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, leading key aspects of the close process, and addressing complex accounting matters in accordance with U.S. GAAP. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable taking ownership of critical accounting areas in a fast-paced, private company environment. This is a hybrid role with 3-4 days a week in the Dallas office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead key components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Support the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements
  • Perform detailed variance and flux analysis, providing clear insights into business performance

  • Experience with Sage Intacct or similar ERP systems is a plus
