About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a highly hands-on Senior Accountant to join their growing accounting team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this individual will play a key role in owning the day-to-day accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting a timely and accurate month-end close process.

The ideal candidate will have strong general ledger experience, extensive month-end close responsibilities, and a proven ability to independently perform account reconciliations, prepare journal entries, research discrepancies, and maintain accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
General Ledger & Close Activities
- Own and maintain assigned general ledger accounts
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, reclasses, and adjusting entries
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Analyze account activity and investigate unusual variances
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
Account Reconciliations
- Prepare and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations
- Research and resolve reconciling items and account discrepancies
- Investigate variances and work cross-functionally to resolve issues
- Maintain supporting documentation and schedules
- Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
- Support account analysis and financial reporting processes
- Participate in variance analysis and management reporting
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
Audit & Compliance Support
- Assist with external audits and auditor requests
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation
- Support internal controls and process improvement initiatives
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency
- Assist with system enhancements and accounting workflow improvements
- Support ongoing initiatives to strengthen internal controls
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Extensive month-end and year-end close experience
- Experience preparing journal entries and accruals
- Strong account reconciliation skills
- Experience researching and resolving accounting discrepancies
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or CPA candidate
- NetSuite experience strongly preferred
- Oracle or SAP experience preferred
- Multi-entity accounting experience
- Experience in a growing or entrepreneurial company environment
