Job summary

LHH is seeking a Senior Accountant in Pittsburgh to support month-end close, financial reporting, and reconciliations. You will help ensure GAAP compliance and provide financial insights to leaders across the organization.

The role requires 4–6+ years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and ERP familiarity. You’ll collaborate with FP&A, operations, and tax teams on various financial initiatives and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 4–6+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
  • Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Perform account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Analyze financial statements and variances, providing actionable insights to leadership.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.
  • Support internal and external audit processes and provide requested documentation.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial matters.
  • Assist with special projects, system implementations, and process enhancements.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. This role is responsible for supporting the organization’s financial operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with GAAP.
