Job summary

Johnson Controls International plc. in the Kansas City region seeks a Sprinkler Service Sales Representative to promote and sell fire sprinkler service offerings in the assigned territory and accounts.

You will establish contact with prospects, qualify buyers, and develop a sales strategy to gain understanding of our services. Read blueprints, apply NFPA 13 standards, and build strong relationships with customers and contractors while meeting sales goals.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate self-motivation, drive and accountability.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
• Proven presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Comfortable multi-tasking across projects and customer needs.
• Proficient with Windows/Office 2007 or equivalent tools.
• Team player able to collaborate with contractors and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Establish contact with prospects and qualify potential buyers of sprinkler services.
• Schedule sales calls, follow up on leads and apply marketing strategies.
• Work with assigned service base to identify moves/adds/changes needs.
• Determine customer needs and develop a sales strategy for offerings.
• Close sales to meet or exceed sales plan objectives.
• Read blueprints and NFPA 13 standards, plus local codes.
• Develop relationships with customers, general contractors and end users.
• Estimate small projects including day-works as required.
• Grow the sprinkler service business through new opportunities.
