Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Sprinkler Construction Sales Representative to drive growth in fire sprinkler installations and retrofit solutions within an assigned territory. You will build relationships with general contractors, property managers, and facility owners to promote and sell services, supported by a strong pipeline and strategic marketing efforts.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in the industry, knowledge of NFPA 13, and NICET II or higher certification.

• Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, stay organized, and manage a multi-faceted workload.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general business software.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell new fire sprinkler installations, system modifications, and retrofit solutions.
• Support customers and end users within assigned territory and account base.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, property managers, and facility owners.
• Schedule sales calls, follow up on leads, and execute approved marketing strategies.
• Identify needs for moves, adds, and changes to existing sprinkler systems.
• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline to meet and exceed sales plan objectives.
• Review project documents and drawings and apply NFPA 13 standards and local codes.
• Estimate small projects, including time‑and‑material (T&M) work.
• Develop new business relationships and help grow the Sprinkler Service business.
