Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Service Sales Representative to promote fire sprinkler service offerings within an assigned territory. You will build relationships, uncover service opportunities, and deliver compliant life-safety solutions that support code compliance and long-term account growth.

The role covers managing the sales process from discovery to close, developing estimates for small projects, and coordinating with service, design, and support teams to ensure safe and reliable

Qualifications

• Proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong communication skills for presenting to customers and documenting interactions.
• Solid organizational skills with the capability to multitask in a sales cycle.
• Comfort with PC-based tools, Windows OS, and MS Office applications.
• Technical knowledge of sprinkler systems, NFPA codes, and local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prospect for new business and qualify opportunities in fire sprinkler service.
• Manage the sales process from discovery through proposal, negotiation, and close.
• Conduct building surveys and develop estimates for small projects and day-work.
• Maintain an active proposal backlog and pursue opportunities aligned with sales plans.
• Build relationships with customers, contractors, and end users to drive repeat business.
• Coordinate with service, design, and support teams for moves, adds, changes.
• Utilize blueprints, NFPA 13 knowledge, and local codes to craft compliant solutions.
• Track sales activity and follow-up actions to move opportunities forward.
