Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Service Sales Representative to promote and sell fire sprinkler service offerings within an assigned territory and customer base. You will build trusted relationships, uncover service opportunities, and develop solutions that support life safety, code compliance, and long-term account growth.

• Technical knowledge of sprinkler systems, fire sprinkler service work, blueprints, NFPA 13, and local codes.

Responsibilities

• Prospect for new business and qualify opportunities for fire sprinkler service, including repairs, modifications, new construction, and ongoing account work.
• Manage the sales process from discovery and estimating through proposal preparation, negotiation, contract close, and post-sale follow-up.
• Conduct building surveys and develop estimates for small projects and day-work assignments.
• Maintain an active proposal backlog and pursue opportunities that support sales plan objectives.
• Build and strengthen relationships with customers, contractors, and end users to support repeat business and account growth.
• Partner with service, design, and support teams to address moves, adds, and changes to sprinkler systems and ensure smooth service delivery.
• Use blueprint reading, NFPA 13 knowledge, and local code awareness to support accurate and compliant solutions.
• Track sales activity, customer needs, and follow-up actions to keep opportunities moving forward.
