Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Fire Service Sales Representative to promote fire sprinkler service offerings within an assigned territory and customer base.

You will build trusted relationships, uncover service opportunities, and develop solutions that support life safety, code compliance, and long-term account growth. The role requires collaboration with service, design, and support teams to address moves, adds, and changes to sprinkler systems, using blueprint reading and NFPA 13

Qualifications

• Self-motivation and a strong desire to succeed.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong organization skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively.
• Proficiency with personal computers, including Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
• Team-oriented mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
• Technical knowledge of sprinkler systems, fire sprinkler service work, blueprints, NFPA 13, and local codes.

Responsibilities

• Prospect for new fire sprinkler service opportunities.
• Manage the full sales process from discovery to close.
• Conduct building surveys and estimate small projects.
• Maintain proposal backlog and pursue sales objectives.
• Build relationships with customers, contractors, and end users.
• Collaborate with service, design, and support teams on moves/adds/changes.
• Apply blueprints, NFPA 13, and local codes to solutions.
• Track sales activity and follow-up actions.
