Job summary

Brown University in Providence, RI is seeking an Athletics Ticketing, Sales & Creative Intern to assist the Ticket Manager with ticketing operations and sales initiatives. You will help with game-day preparation for multiple sports, develop ticket sales strategies, create promotional content, and build relationships with local youth organizations.

This part-time, on-site internship requires a high school diploma and some relevant experience; the role is 10 hours per week with evening and weekend

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One to two years of relevant experience in ticketing, sales, marketing, promotions, customer service, event operations, or a related area preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
• Some prior experience in ticket sales/operations, marketing, promotions preferred.
• Ability to accurately handle financial transactions and basic reconciliations.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral communication and computer skills needed.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Photoshop and ability/willingness to learn new systems as required.
• Prior online ticket system experience preferred.
• Strong customer relation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist game day preparation and execution for Football, Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Gymnastics, Men's Hockey, Women's Hockey, Men's Lacrosse and Women's Lacrosse.
• Develop ticket sales strategies to maximize attendance and revenue for ticketed sports.
• Develop content to align with and promote sales initiatives.
• Develop/maintain relationships with various local Youth Organizations and schools.
• Provide friendly customer service at games and other Brown Athletic events.
• Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned.
