Job summary

Brown University in Providence, RI is seeking an Athletics Ticketing, Sales & Creative Intern to assist the Ticket Manager with ticketing operations and sales initiatives. You will help with game-day preparation for multiple sports, develop ticket sales strategies, create promotional content, and build relationships with local youth organizations.

This part-time, on-site internship requires a high school diploma and some relevant experience; the role is 10 hours per week with evening and weekend

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One to two years of relevant experience in ticketing, sales, marketing, promotions, customer service, event operations, or a related area preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
• Some prior experience in ticket sales/operations, marketing, promotions preferred.
• Ability to accurately handle financial transactions and basic reconciliations.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral communication and computer skills needed.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Photoshop and ability/willingness to learn new systems as required.
• Prior online ticket system experience preferred.
• Strong customer relation skills.

Job Description: The Athletics Ticketing, Sales & Creative Intern will assist the Athletics Ticket Manager and Ticketing & Group Sales Coordinator with increasing the overall visibility of Brown University Athletics through ticket sales efforts. This position will assist with day-to-day and game-day ticket operations at ticketed varsity athletic events. Located in Providence, Rhode Island, and a member of the Ivy League, our intercollegiate athletics program consists of 38 varsity teams with approximately 1,000 athletes who participate within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA-D1).

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in game day preparation and execution for Football, Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Gymnastics, Men's Hockey, Women's Hockey, Men's Lacrosse and Women's Lacrosse.
• Develop ticket sales strategies to maximize attendance and revenue for ticketed sports.
