Job summary

Sandia Resort & Casino is seeking an experienced bartender/barback to deliver fast, friendly beverage service at multiple bars and restaurants. You will craft cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks while maintaining a clean, organized bar and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include taking orders, managing the bar area, handling transactions, upholding responsible alcohol service, and training teammates as needed. Weekend and holiday shifts required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Available to work weekends and holidays.
• Bartending or barback experience preferred (6 months–1 year).
• Must obtain New Mexico Alcohol Server’s license prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides fast, friendly beverage and food services with professionalism.
• Crafts and serves a wide range of beverages including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks.
• Sets up the bar at start of shift and breaks down at close, stocking and prep.
• Operates POS system and handles cash, credit, and comps accurately.
• Ensures compliance with alcohol service regulations and ID checks.
• Takes orders, makes recommendations, and ensures a positive guest experience.
• Maintains bar cleanliness and inventory control; assists with training new team members.
• Completes closing bar paperwork and coordinates restocking with supervision.
• Maintains proper sanitation and safety standards per guidelines.
