Job summary

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University seeks a Sponsored Research Contract Administrator to manage pre- and post-award activities for a portfolio of contracts within the Office of Sponsored Research. You will guide principal investigators on contract administration per FAR, DFAR, and Uniform Guidance, and monitor budget performance across sponsored projects.

The role supports hybrid/remote work, with the university’s strong aerospace focus across Daytona Beach, Prescott, and online programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field with 3–5 years of related experience.
• CRA and/or Contract Certification(s) and master’s degree a plus.
• In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, 5–10 years of experience in contracts, grants, or financial management will be considered.
• Experience with sponsors who support aeronautical research (FAA, DoD, USAF, USSF, NASA etc.) a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail, outstanding customer service and strong communication skills are required for this position.
• Pre-award Contract management experience or demonstrated experience with managing multi-part contract proposals, technical documents, and budgets.
• Post-award Contract management experience or demonstrated experience with managing multi-part contracts, technical documents, and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Manage pre and post-award activities for an assigned portfolio of contracts.
• Serve as liaison among university administration, principal investigators, faculty, staff, and funding agency representatives.
• Provide guidance to principal investigators regarding federal and non-federal contract administration, including FAR/DFAR/Uniform Guidance requirements.
• Monitor and report on budget management of contracts awarded to the university.
