Job summary

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University seeks a Sponsored Research Contract Administrator to manage pre- and post-award activities for a portfolio of contracts. The role involves advising principal investigators on federal and non-federal contract administration, ensuring compliance with FAR/DFAR and Uniform Guidance, and coordinating with sponsors.

The position supports hybrid/remote work and requires strong attention to detail, communication, and budget tracking across multiple systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field with 3-5 years of related experience.
• CRA and/or Contract Certification(s) and master’s degree a plus.
• In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, 5-10 years of experience in contracts, grants, or financial management will be considered.
• Experience with sponsors who support aeronautical research (FAA, DoD, USAF, USSF, NASA etc.) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage pre- and post-award activities for an assigned portfolio of contracts.
• Serve as liaison among university administration, principal investigators, faculty, staff, and funding agency representatives.
• Provide guidance to principal investigators regarding federal and non-federal contract administration and related regulations.
• Monitor and report on budget management of contracts; record and maintain sponsored projects information in university systems.
