Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago seeks a Contracts Manager to independently draft, review, and negotiate sponsored research contracts and related agreements with industry sponsors and academic partners at the Simpson Querrey Biomedical Research Center.

This role collaborates with researchers, administrators, and General Counsel to safeguard hospital interests. The position requires a law degree with 3–5 years of relevant contract experience in healthcare or research settings,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years drafting and negotiating clinical research agreements.
• JD preferred.
• Ability to review and manage agreements to ensure compliance with HIPAA, Uniform Guidance and institutional policies.
• Effective communication with physicians, staff, and external sponsors.
• Proficient with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and finalize industry funded agreements and related contracts, including confidentiality, MTAs, data sharing, and subawards.
• Develop clinical trial and research budgets with staff and sponsor involvement.
• Advise hospital departments on contract terms and provide training materials.
• Maintain accurate records and tracking of agreements and milestones.
• Coordinate steps from contract execution through internal setup procedures with partner offices.
