Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Contracts Manager to independently draft, review, and negotiate sponsored research and related contracts.

You will work closely with researchers, physicians, and offices across the hospital to protect patient interests and advance partnerships with industry sponsors. The role requires a JD or equivalent and 3–5 years’ contract experience in a healthcare or academic setting, with strong negotiation and communication skills.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience drafting and negotiating clinical research and other agreements in hospital/academic setting.
• Ability to review, negotiate, and manage agreements for compliance with legal, regulatory, and institutional requirements including HIPAA and Uniform Guidance.
• Strong communication skills with physicians, staff, and external sponsors.
• Demonstrated negotiation and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and with teams.
• Proficient with MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsabilidades

• Draft, review, and negotiate sponsored research contracts and related agreements such as confidentiality, data use, material transfer, and subawards.
• Develop and implement policies/guidance for industry-sponsored research engagement while ensuring compliance with laws and hospital policies.
• Advise hospital department admins and staff before, during, and after contract negotiation; contribute to educational materials and training.
• Maintain accurate records and tracking of agreements; coordinate steps from execution through internal setup with partner offices.
• Other duties as assigned by Associate Director or Director.
