Job summary

Butler University is seeking an Assistant Director for the Office of Sponsored Programs to oversee research compliance and the administration of sponsored programs, including IRB, IACUC, IBC, and FCOI. You will assist with proposal preparation, review, and submission to external partners, aligning with federal and state regulations.

You will lead efforts to maintain policy compliance, promote integrity in research, and support strategic plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1–3 years of experience reviewing grant contracts and related legal documents.
• Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with diverse students, faculty, staff, and external constituencies.
• Experience with research compliance and knowledge of relevant policies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a compliant approach to research compliance and integrity.
• Assist in online grants management and grant seeking; develop SOPs for OSP.
• Coordinate with General Counsel on grant contracts and legally reviewed matters.
• Contribute to a collaborative culture and ongoing professional growth.
• Support implementation of OSP strategic plans and goals.
