Job summary

Indiana University, Office for Research Administration, seeks an experienced professional to oversee sponsored projects from proposal through closeout. You will interpret sponsor guidelines and advise faculty and staff on budgets, certifications, and compliance to ensure competitive proposals and compliant awards.

You will mentor staff, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure timely documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred.
• 2 years of experience preparing and submitting grant proposals; or 3 years grants/awards administration experience.
• CRA certification preferred.
• Proficient in university policies and sponsor guidelines; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Review and oversee sponsored projects throughout their lifecycle, incl. proposal development, award intake, financial monitoring, and closeout.
• Provide guidance to staff and investigators on budgets, certifications, and institutional documentation.
• Monitor sponsorship accounts for allowability and compliance; escalate issues as needed.
• Mentor and train staff on federal/state/university policies and procedures.
• Utilize Kuali, FastLane, ASSIST, NIH Commons and Grants.gov for submissions and account monitoring.
