Job summary

Piedmont Macon Medical in Macon, GA is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide services across neonate to geriatric ages, coordinate consultations, interpret assessments, and plan treatment programs to restore function and prevent disability.

The role includes supervising rehab staff and students; a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology and ASHA CCC are required, along with GA licensure and BCLS. Sign-on bonus available; some weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders from an accredited graduate school.
  • CCC - Clinical Speech Pathologist from ASHA required.
  • Georgia licensure in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides speech-language pathology services and diagnostic evaluations for patients across age groups.
  • Supervises rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers; may orient staff.

Responsibilities

Provides speech-language pathology services by coordinating consultations and diagnostic evaluations with patients having known or suspected communication disorders and/or oropharyngeal dysphagia; and interpreting assessment data; planning and performing speech-language pathology treatment intervention programs when appropriate that restore function, prevent disability and help patients reach maximum potential. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric. Responsible for the supervision of rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers. May be responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff.
