Job summary

Piedmont Macon Medical in Macon, Georgia, is seeking a Speech Pathologist for a full-time day shift with some weekends. The role involves coordinating consultations and diagnostic evaluations, interpreting assessment data, and planning treatment for patients with communication disorders and/or oropharyngeal dysphagia.

The position includes supervising rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers. The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders from an accredited graduate school
• CCC - Clinical Speech Pathologist from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Required
• Licensure by the Georgia Board of Examiners of Speech/Language Pathology Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support through AHA or ARC Required

Responsibilities

• Provides speech-language pathology services by coordinating consultations and diagnostic evaluations for patients with communication disorders and/or dysphagia; interprets assessment data.
• Plans and performs treatment interventions to restore function and maximize potential across age groups from neonate to geriatric, and supervises rehabilitation staff.

Responsibilities:

Provides speech-language pathology services by coordinating consultations and diagnostic evaluations with patients having known or suspected communication disorders and/or oropharyngeal dysphagia; and interpreting assessment data; planning and performing speech-language pathology treatment intervention programs when appropriate that restore function, prevent disability and help patients reach maximum potential. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric. Responsible for the supervision of rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers. May be responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff.
