Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work in a skilled nursing facility setting on a PRN basis. You will evaluate and treat residents, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and contribute to patient-centered plans of care.

Applicants should hold an MS or MA in Speech-Language Pathology, be ASHA CCC-certified or eligible for CFY, and maintain an active state license. CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• MS/MA in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP).
• ASHA CCCs or eligible CFY to earn CCCs.
• Active state licensure in good standing.
• CPR certification at hire or during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriate.
• Liaisons with patients, families, and other departments to plan for patient needs.
• Demonstrates good body mechanics and safety practices.
• Independently makes decisions when warranted.
• Complies with laws and guidelines governing post-acute care facilities.
• Implements and interprets programs and policies of the department.
• Maintains professional relationships and confidentiality.
