Job summary

Skyline Healthcare Center-San Jose is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support residents in a caring, professional environment. The position offers a competitive salary and a sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities include evaluating residents, providing direct speech therapy, administering tests, and documenting care in compliance with regulations. Requires Master of Science in SLP, CA license, and Clinical Competency certification.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree required or equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology.
• California state license to practice Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Certification in Clinical Competency required or in process.

• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate plan of care.
• Provides direct resident treatment per established plan of care.
• Administers and interprets hearing and speech tests.
• Assists residents with functional swallow techniques.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records and documentation.

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate plan of care.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Works with residents for functional swallow techniques.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Entry Qualifications and Skills:

• Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred.
• Certification in Clinical Competency.
• Current license to practice Speech-Language Pathology issued by the state of California.
