Job summary

Mariner Healthcare in Palm Springs seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate residents, develop plans of care, and provide direct treatment within scope of practice and state guidelines. You will administer and interpret speech tests, support residents with swallow techniques, and ensure confidentiality with proper documentation in line with company policies and regulations.

Requirements include a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology, California license, and a preferred 1

Qualifications

• MS in Speech-Language Pathology required or equivalent.
• Current California license to practice SLP.
• Certification in Clinical Competency, preferred.
• One year of clinical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate plan of care.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Works with residents for functional swallow techniques.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Education

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate plan of care.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Entry Qualifications and Skills:
