Job summary

Mission Valley Post Acute is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time position with flexible scheduling. Pay is $55–$65/hour, DOE.

You will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans to help residents improve communication, swallowing, cognition, and functional independence. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, dietitians, and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate resident care; supervise CFY and student clinicians where applicable; maintain

Qualifications

  • Must hold California SLP license in good standing.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans to help residents achieve optimal communication, cognition, and swallowing function.
  • Perform comprehensive speech-language and swallowing evaluations.
  • Develop and implement transportation plans for communication, cognition, voice, and dysphagia.
  • Monitor progress and modify treatment plans to maximize outcomes.
  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers on goals, home programs, and strategies for communication and swallowing safety.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, dietitians, and the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Participate in care conferences, discharge planning, and rehabilitation meetings.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide staff education and in-service training as needed.
  • Supervise CFY and student clinicians when applicable.

What You’ll Do

As a Speech‑Language Pathologist, you will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans to help residents achieve the highest level of function.

Responsibilities Include
  • Perform comprehensive speech‑language and swallowing evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for communication, cognition, voice, and dysphagia.
