Job summary

Good Samaritan Society is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to assess and treat clients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in a not-for-profit environment.

The role requires state licensure as an SLP, and ASHA CCC/Cfy credentials where applicable, plus BLS within 60 days. Occasional supervision of assistants may be required, with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
• Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as Speech-Language Pathologist.
• When working at a Sanford Health Facility: Holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence issued by ASHA or CFY.
• When applicable, may require valid driver's license.
• Obtains and maintains required competencies; Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Administers speech and language evaluations to diagnose and plan treatments.
• Develops individualized treatment plans based on clinical diagnoses.
• Provides speech and language services and monitors disease progression.
• Supervises assistants or students as needed and offers ongoing education to peers.
