Job summary

Good Samaritan Sioux Falls is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist. The role administers evaluations, develops treatment plans and delivers services to residents in a faith-based, not-for-profit setting.

Licensed SLP with ASHA CCC or CFY in progress is preferred; BLS is required. The position includes collaboration with care teams and potential supervision duties, across post-acute and long-term care environments.

Qualifications

• Appropriate education level required per state licensure.
• Must be licensed as Speech-Language Pathologist in applicable states.
• ASHA CCC or CFY in progress or completed.
• May require valid driver’s license.
• Obtain and maintain required competencies and certifications.
• BLS for health care providers required or within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Administer speech and language evaluations and plan treatments.
• Assess clients with speech, language, cognitive or swallowing issues.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on diagnoses.
• Provide speech-language services and monitor progress.
• Ensure standards, policies and quality requirements are met.
• Interact with providers, case managers and others as needed.
• Supervise assistants or students when assigned.
• Provide education and training to peers in area of expertise.
• Follows clinical practice guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Work may focus on post-acute, long-term care and home health environments.
