Qualifications

• Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
• Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as Speech-Language Pathologist.
• When working at a Sanford Health Facility: Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA or CFY in progress.
• May require valid driver's license.
• Maintains required department competencies and certifications, BLS for health care providers within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Administers speech and language evaluations and tests to diagnose and plan treatments.
• Develops individualized treatment plans based on clinical diagnoses.
• Provides speech and language services and monitors disease progression.
• Instructs clients in practicing therapeutic exercises and offers consultation to care teams.
• Ensures compliance with standards, policies, and quality requirements.
