Job summary

Good Samaritan Society is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat clients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in a senior-care setting. This full-time role in Canton, SD supports post-acute, long-term care, and home health environments as assigned.

You will administer evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapy services while ensuring compliance with standards and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as Speech-Language Pathologist.
• CFY considered if Certificate of Clinical Competence is in progress.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or within the first 60 days of employment.
• May require valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Administers speech and language evaluations, tests or examinations and plans treatments.
• Provides speech-language services and monitors progression; adjusts treatments as needed.
• Documents in accordance with departmental guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• May supervise assistants, and provide ongoing education to peers in the area of expertise.
