Job summary

Great Plains Post Acute Wichita SNF Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate residents, develop treatment plans and collaborate with physicians, families and the care team.

You will supervise CFY fellows or students, provide in-services, maintain compliant documentation, and educate residents and caregivers on therapy goals, exercises, safety, and home programs while upholding infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required; Master’s or Doctorate preferred.
• Licensed Speech Therapist in the state; continuing education as required.
• CPR certification as applicable by licensure; proficiency with documentation systems.
• Proficient in computer data entry and clinical software used for records.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans to improve function.
• Supervise CFY – Speech Clinical Fellows and students when applicable.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Educate residents and families on goals, home programs, safety techniques, and care coordination.
