Job summary

Overland Park Post Acute seeks a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate residents, develop treatment plans, implement interventions, and document progress in medical records.

You will supervise CFY or students, train staff, participate in care conferences, and collaborate with physicians, families, and the broader team to advance swallowing and communication goals. Licensure and CPR per state requirements are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Speech Therapist in the state.
• Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology; Masters or Doctorate preferred.
• Continuing education requirements must be met per state practice.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and goals.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans and document progress.
• Supervise CFY or students and train facility staff on therapy concepts.
• Communicate with physicians, families, and the care team about progress.
• Participate in care conferences and ensure compliant documentation.
