Job summary

Rivercrest Post Acute is seeking a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents, develop individualized plans, and collaborate with physicians, families, and the health team. The role includes supervising CFYs or students and providing staff training to support quality care.

You will communicate progress, participate in care conferences, and ensure accurate documentation in the medical records while maintaining a safe, compliant treatment environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology; Masters or Doctorate preferred.
• Licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state.
• Proficient with computer systems for documentation (e.g., Net Health, PCC).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognition, and communication.
• Provide in-services and training for facility staff.
• Supervise CFY Speech Clinical Fellows or students when applicable.
• Communicate progress and discharge plans with families and healthcare team.
• Complete timely and compliant documentation per regulations.
