Job summary

PACS is seeking a qualified Staff Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate residents, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and communicate with families, physicians, and the health team to optimize rehabilitation outcomes.

The role includes supervising CFY or student clinicians, providing in-services for facility staff, ensuring accurate documentation, maintaining infection control, and participating in quality assurance initiatives to support a safe, patient-centered post-acute

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology; Master’s/Doctorate preferred.
• Licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state; CE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans.
• Supervise CFY or students in resident care.
• Communicate with physicians, nursing staff, residents and families.
• Complete timely documentation and ensure compliance with policies.
• Provide in-services and staff training as needed.
