Job summary

Artesia Palms Care Center is seeking a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate residents for speech therapy needs, develop treatment plans, and provide individualized care in a rehabilitation-focused facility.

The role includes supervising CFY Speech Clinical Fellows or students, coordinating with physicians and families, and ensuring compliant documentation and infection control within the care environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology; Master's/Doctorate preferred.
• Licensed as a Speech Therapist in the state; maintain licensure with CE requirements.
• Proficient with Net Health and Point Click Care systems.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine SLP needs, rehabilitation potential, and create treatment plans.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans to improve speech and cognitive functions.
• Supervise CFY Speech Clinical Fellows and students as applicable.
• Communicate progress and discharge plans with physicians, nursing staff, families, and interdisciplinary team.
