Job summary

Speech-Language Pathologist (Healthcare) role in a facility setting is seeking a qualified clinician to evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans. The position requires supervising CFY or students and maintaining thorough documentation while collaborating with physicians and families.

Responsibilities include delivering education to residents and caregivers, ensuring infection control, and contributing to rehab program development as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Masters or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
  • Proficient with Net Health and Point Click Care.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs, functional limitations, and rehabilitation potential.
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and independence.
  • Supervise CFY - Speech Clinical Fellows and students when applicable.
  • Communicate with physicians, nursing staff, residents, families regarding progress and discharge planning.
  • Complete timely, accurate documentation in accordance with regulations and facility policies.
  • Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control and safety protocols.
  • Educate residents and families on treatment goals and home exercise programs.
