Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide direct rehab care in speech therapy for patients referred by physicians, in accordance with Life Care standards. Requirements include an accredited MS/MA in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA CCCs or CFY eligibility, an active state license, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• MS or MA in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• ASHA CCCs or eligible for CFY; must obtain CCCs and maintain credentialing.
• Currently licensed/registered in the applicable state and maintain active license.
• One year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply.
• CPR certification required on hire or during orientation and kept current.

Responsibilities

• Establish, assess, and modify realistic, measurable, timely, and functional goals
• Oversee and evaluate care for CFYs (SLP CCCs)
• Follow speech therapy treatment plans for patients under supervision of the supervising SLP CCC in accordance with laws/regulations
• Chart appropriately and timely
• Utilize therapy software appropriately and accurately
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
• Assist in the evacuation of patients
• Maintain dependable, regular attendance
• Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment
• Communicate and function on an interdisciplinary team
• Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
