Job summary

Western Slope Health Center is seeking a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate residents and provide therapy tailored to their needs. You will develop treatment plans, supervise CFY or students, and communicate with the care team and families about progress and goals.

Responsibilities include documentation, in-services, and participation in care conferences, with a focus on safety and quality care for residents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Master’s or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
• Licensed Speech Therapist in the state; maintain license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehab potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve function.
• Supervise CFY or students in resident care and activities.
• Communicate with physicians, nursing staff, and families about progress.
• Participate in care conferences and rehabilitation meetings as needed.
• Provide in-services and maintain compliant medical documentation.
• Educate residents and families on goals, home programs, and safety.
• Recommend durable medical equipment to support independence.
