Job summary

Santa Monica Healthcare Center is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate residents, develop care plans, and provide direct therapy. You will administer and interpret speech/hearing tests and support swallow techniques while maintaining confidentiality and proper documentation.

Required: Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology, California license, and Clinical Competency certification; one year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required).
• California license to practice Speech-Language Pathology.
• Certification in Clinical Competency.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate plan of care.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Works with residents for functional swallow techniques.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records and documentation.

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate plan of care.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Works with residents for functional swallow techniques.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Entry Qualifications and Skills:

• Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred.
• Certification in Clinical Competency.
• Current license to practice Speech-Language Pathology issued by the state of California.
