Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Dallas is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide pediatric therapy in the home or daytime facility, at least two times per week as ordered by physicians. The role emphasizes individualized care plans to help children reach their highest potential.

You will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, feeding and related disorders, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and educate families and staff to support ongoing progress.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University.
• Licensed to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Texas.
• Experience in pediatrics required.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Feeding experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Must carry valid auto insurance and driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients 0-21 years old, 2+ times per week, per physician orders.
• Define the degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, or fluency impairments using appropriate tests.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to plan and evaluate goals and advise team on speech therapy modalities.
• Plan for and modify care to meet therapy goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and in-service programs.
• May supervise Clinical Fellows or SLP Assistants after 3+ years of experience.

• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports


• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions


• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions


• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program


• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
