Job summary

Legacy Healthcare Services is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our not-for-profit team delivering rehabilitative care to senior living residents. You will evaluate swallowing and communication disorders, design evidence-based treatment programs, and provide individualized sessions in a team-based setting.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in speech language pathology program.
• Current state license as an SLP, or eligible to obtain before starting.
• Excellent interpersonal, fiscal, and clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat swallowing disorders and communication/cognitive impairments.
• Develop and implement SLP treatment programs based on full evaluation.
• Provide rehabilitative services under medical orders as part of the team.
• Participate in clinical conferences to coordinate care.
• Deliver one-on-one private sessions with functional-based treatment.
• Support a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekend or holiday requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and communication/ cognitive impairments, utilizing a variety of evidenced based therapeutic techniques
• Establish treatment goals, as well as develop and implement appropriate Speech Pathology treatment programs based upon a full clinical evaluation
• Provide rehabilitive services to patients under specific medical orders as part of a coordinated team.
• Participate in clinical conferences to share and coordinate the plan of care for patients
• Treat residents one on one so each patient gets individualized attention through private treatment sessions with a functional based treatment approach
• The ability to individualize treatment sessions!
• Desirable Monday-Friday schedule with no weekend or holiday requirements
