Job summary

Legacy Healthcare Services in Wheaton, Illinois is looking for a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist. This role involves evaluating and treating patients with swallowing disorders and communication impairments while working closely with a dedicated team to enhance patients' quality of life.

Successful candidates must have a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology, a current state license, and excellent interpersonal skills. The position offers a desirable Monday-Friday schedule with no weekend or holiday requirements, along with generous benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k).

Qualifications

  • Masters Degree from an accredited graduate program in speech language pathology.
  • Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP, or ability to obtain prior to beginning employment.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and communication/cognitive impairments.
  • Establish treatment goals and develop appropriate Speech Pathology treatment programs.
  • Provide rehabilitative services to patients under specific medical orders.
  • Participate in clinical conferences to share and coordinate care plans.
  • Provide individualized attention through private treatment sessions.

  • Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and communication/cognitive impairments, utilizing a variety of evidenced based therapeutic techniques
  • Establish treatment goals, as well as develop and implement appropriate Speech Pathology treatment programs based upon a full clinical evaluation
  • Provide rehabilitative services to patients under specific medical orders as part of a coordinated team
  • Participate in clinical conferences to share and coordinate the plan of care for patients
  • Treat residents one on one so each patient gets individualized attention through private treatment sessions with a functional based treatment approach
